:confused:I'm 17 and going on a trip to Germany for my 18th birthday. I'm taking depakote and ritalin on a daily basis. I was wondering if anyone out there knows if it's ok to drink with my friends considering the drugs the doctor has me on???? I don't want to ask the people at the pharmacy because most of them are my extended family, aunt, uncle, cousin, brother, uncle, etc... and I don't want my mom to know that I will be imbibing on my birthday trip. haha Thanks!

I suggest calling another pharmacy and inquire about it. You do not have to call your pharmacy, any pharmacist could tell you the possible side effects. You should also look at the printout that comes with all prescribed medications, which can tell you. Also do a search on the internet and you could get some info. If you do drink....DON'T overdue it. I know depakote is often used to help prevent alcohol seizures in alcoholics when they enter detox. I know someone on medicine for ADHD and they do drink occassionaly but usually no more than 4 beers when out "partying". But I would be concerned with all 3 on board so definetley research it.
