My pregnancy was a NIGHTMARE with a 5mm kidney stone. I had it almost right from the beginning. They wil do nothing about it except give you pain meds and monitor the baby (may even admit you to hospital as they did me over and over). They can't remove the stone for you because of the baby you are carrying. Just some advice... I was terrified to have demerol while pregnant, but my baby is one month old now and shows no signs of any effects from the drug. All is well. If they give it to you in moderation, just to keep the pain under control, you should be alright, but ask your doctor first before taking my advice full heartdly. I was told that the stress and pain would cause more harm to the baby then the pain meds. As for passing it, I was different... I passed a smalled stone, the size of a grain of sand and when it came out of me, the pain was unbearable for about a minute. Anyways, I wish you luck with this and hope it is over for you.
