10th April 2008
hello everyone
iam new here, and ive been reading some of the post, and i dont feel so alone!!!:)
i have had this problem with panic and aniexty for a couple of years now...
at first i was so scared!:(
it still gets to me sometimes, but iam trying to deal with it, or accept
it as the way i am..
i think right now, iam worried about some test that were done at the
docteors office, and all kinds of things are running through my mind
and that causes stress, and well, panic soon follows..
i stoped takeing crestor april 4th, because of severe muscel and joint pain!:(
but the pain has continued for a week now, to the point i went to the doctor
and he is running alot of blood test to check for lupus, fibrmyalgia,
osteoauteritis ect........
i know i need to relax, but its so hard to do!!!
iam on xanax, so i just took one of those to help myself..
do any of you go through this????

memawof.....

I stopped taking Lescol three years ago, for the same reason...my Doctor ran the same tests on me. They were all fine. The reason that the muscle and joint pain may be continuing, is that you're now stressed because of the tests, and you could be holding your muscles very tense. They would already be inflamed because of the Crestor, and you holding yourself tight would stop the pain from going away. It's very possible...and if you relax, they still might hurt for a while, because they think you have run a marathon....and will need a bit to calm down....how's that?

All of you should do some Cognitive Behaviour Therapy...there are lots of good books....David Burns, Sam Orbitz.....it really works. I used to have major anxiety problems, but when my Doctor was running the tests, I wasn't worried about having a disease, I was worried about getting the pain to go away.....it hurt!
