   Prevention of AD? Bah! (Alzheimer's Disease & Dementia board)

I just read an article published earlier this month that said medications for the reduction of cholesterol might be helpful in slowing the development of Alzheimer's.

My mother died of AD, and she had a number of strokes before the AD finally took her. I was recently diagnosed with dangerously high cholesterol and started on Crestor. Developing Alzheimers is my greatest fear - I hope the crestor will help stave it off.
