i haven't had pain while on coumadin but i am wondering about the management of this blood clot.is your primary caring for this or a doc that is a vascular type of specialist?if you are suffering that much pain, something just is not right.you really do need to see someone who is much more familiar with treating blood clots.just how was the blood clot Dxed?ultrasound?this could present some major medical problems for you if this isn't handled in the right ways.thats all i am really trying to say here.i really seriously don't think it is the coumadin that is causing the pain, its the blood clot.you can be Rxed something adequate for your pain of the narcotic type that would help alot in dealing with this.i do know that blood clots can be rather painful at times,so having something Rxed by your doc would not be something unusual.if you are not currently,or have even consulted with a vascular doc,you really do need to.you just really do need to know what you are dealing with here.i wish you lots of luck with this and hope this clears soon for you.please keep me posted,K?
