[QUOTE=Rydog2345;3595176]What does it say that in the few times in the past 8 years that I was able to shed 30 or so pounds that my symptoms got way better?
Doesn't that, in combination with my previous workup, suggest that weight (and it's associated issues) is in fact the leading culprit? ... Shame on me for not keeping the weight off!!!
[QUOTE=Rydog2345;3595176]I saw a primary care Dr. today and he says it sounds like more panic attacks/anxiety symptoms. He gave me a low dose beta-blocker Metroprolol to take twice daily and he also gave me Prozac to take once daily.
Most doctors prefer to blame a person's health problems on anxiety or stress. They don't have to prove their theory and it doesn't take a lot of their time or effort. And....... patients want a simple solution, aka: magic pill, so most patients are happy...... for a short time. Patients then climb aboard this roller coaster of prescription drug side effects, and continued health problems.
There actually is a magic pill, that does work. But, it's not easy to take. It's called "healthy, reasonable calorie, balanced diet" and "exercise", and a minimum dose of a medication, like Metroprolol, or my favorite Coreg, to help the patient until the "healthy diet and exercise" lifestyle start working.
Best of luck to you. Let us know how you do!
