Hi, I've posted once already on someone else's thread - sorry if that was a faux pas. Thought I'd better introduce myself properly. :o
I'm 43, diagnosed with asthma last year though have had respiratory illnesses pretty much all my life - pneumonia, pleurisy, every head cold becomes stubborn bronchitis. Have been given, and swallowed, probably way too many antibiotics over time. Have never smoked cigarettes, get plenty of exercise, otherwise in good health.
Anyway, have a Combivent "rescue inhaler" which works well for acute attacks, discontinued Advair because of adverse side effects, so was on no maintenance program. Had an appointment today with the pulmonologist who gave me scripts and instructions for 1.) QVar 2.) Foradil as a new maintenance regimen.
Has anyone here had experience with these meds? Would appreciate any advice, personal stories. Thanks! Glad to have found this site. :)
