   Adults and retinols (Acne board)

10th December 2007
Oops. My mistake. I shouldn't have said the word primarily. My insurance company considers it to be for cosmetic purposes, as in reducing aging and the appearance of wrinkles. I think it is also used for rosascea, but I might be wrong there. I think my derm has me on it for adult acne, but also for peeling to help some red marks I have. I guess I need to ask him for sure the next time I see him, lol. I didn't realize it had been around for acne so long. He has me taking clindomycin and doryx. When I'm out of retin-a, he said he is gong to have me use something that is a combo of the clindamycin and retin-a. I'm sure my insurance won't cover that either, so I dread having to pay for that one!
