Prescriptions that Nearly Cured My Acne (Acne board)

1st January 2004
I've been taking Benzaclin and Tazorac for nearly a month, and it has worked WONDERFULLY against my moderate acne. Initially, I had bright red skin and excessive peeling (for nearly two weeks) but now my complection is 100% better.

In the morning after my shower, I clean with Triaz, a mild benzoyl peroxide cleanser, and follow with Oil of Olay moisturizer for sensitive skin (noncomodogenic of course). After the moisturizer is absorbed into my skin, I apply Benzaclin to my problematic areas. In the evening, I wash my face with Triaz again, and apply Tazorac over the entire surface area of my skin.

It is helpful to note that I also stopped using fabric softener when laundering my clothing. It tends to be very oily, and I assume it would adversly affect my skin while sleeping on my pillowcase. I also wash my pillowcases more.

I've tried nearly every over-the-counter product, and Proactiv as well... none of which I've had such remarkable results. I've even used Differin and Cleocin, which didn't really work for me.

If anyone has any questions about these prescriptions, or ANY over-the-counter medication, feel free to ask. I've had cystic acne for years, and I know how psychologically traumatising it is.
