It's been two years since I've had to visit my dermatologist. My skin has never had many active pimples, but I'll get those really bad, deep cysts every now and then that take forever to heal and leave a terrible dark mark on my face. Well, I haven't had much trouble with cysts since college, but last month my face started going crazy again, and this time, instead of one or two cysts, I had like four or five at one time. Anyway, I figured it was about time I pay my doctor a visit.

I only discovered this board over the summer, and I've learned so much thanks to all of you. I have found that a multi-vitamin and zinc supplement have helped a little. Then, I began reading some of your experiences with spiro and did further research on the drug. I really feel that this could help me as my acne seems to be hormone related.

Well, my doctor agreed to put me on spiro and said that he has patients who have benefited but that it can take several months. I am excited to try this as I've tried just about everything in the past except for Accutane. He is, also, giving me Cleocin T, a topical gel. I am really hoping that this will slowly do the trick for me, and I'll definitely keep you all posted.
