My husband has prostatitis two years ago. The first round of antibiotics, I think it was Cipro, didn't work completely. He then went back to the doctor for stronger antibiotics that he needed to take for about 4 weeks. I can't remember the name of that medication....They did work.....He did see a urologist a few weeks later just to make sure everything was ok. I Anyways, definitely go back to your doctor to discuss and get your husband checked out. But, no need to panic if the first round of antibiotics doesn't work. I think that's common. Good luck. :)
