I am suprised you did not get a copy of what side effects and foods to not to take with Cipro. I get a pamplet with every med I pick up from Walgreens. I have taken Cipro quite a few times. Here are a few things that you should not do when you take it.
Do not take ciprofloxacin with dairy products (like milk, ice cream, cheese, or yogurt) or calcium-added juices alone. You may take ciprofloxacin with a meal that includes these foods.
Do not drink or eat a lot of caffeine-containing products such as coffee, tea, energy drinks, cola, or chocolate. Ciprofloxacin may increase nervousness, sleeplessness, heart pounding, and anxiety caused by caffeine.
Make sure you drink plenty of water or other fluids every day while you are taking ciprofloxacin
You are not suppose to go in the sun while taking Cipro. If you must be in the sun limit your time as much as possible. Cipro make your skin much more sensitive to the sun.
I get dizzy and a bit ill to my belly when I take it a bit off balance too.
You can do a search for it online and there's loads of info on Cipro effects.
the dizzyness is a side effect from cipro. theres litterally close to 500 possible side effects cipro can cause. you name anything and its possible that cipro and other fluoroquinolone antibiotics can cause it. i took avelox which is in the same family as cipro and i have become acripple at the age of 20. several tendon ruptures, widespread muscle pain, which has kept me wheelchair bound.dna changes, phototoxicity, cognitive problems, liver failure, hearing loss, double vision, nerve damage, etc. life completely destroyed. side effecs from these drugs can occur weeks, or months after treatment.i suggest you see if you can change meds. side effects to these poison are much more common than they let on, do some research theres thousands of people suffering from these antibiotics. its just not worth the risk to end up a crippled up wreck like me and many others.

No, my Dr. didn't say a word about anything about this med. I only got 6 pills. I'm thinkin' this med is for the birds!!! What did you do for the dizziness and off balance feeling? Did you ever actually get sick or just feel like getting sick? I wonder if a nausea patch would help...hmmm....I wonder if those are over the counter.

I am so sorry to hear that. I'm not usually a med taker and so this is all new to me. I personally like the natural stuff! How long were you on the med?
I did a search like Fromthesouth suggested but all I found was that SOME of things you mentioned were RARE side effects but not everything you wrote. I am sorry you had such bad experience from Cipro but for me it was the only thing that worked. I would gladly take it again if I need it.
There is nothing that you can do for the dizziness and off balance. My usual script had me taking them 2 a day for 7 days. I had a bad sinus infection that no matter what I took it would not go away. He gave me Cipro and it went away. I do landscaping so I had to wear long sleeves, jeans, gloves and wide brim hat at work. Summer in New Orleans is not pretty especially wearing all those clothes.
Some days I was really dizzy but the one thing I constantly had for the 7 days was a light fever till I finished the bottle. Then I was good as new. You should not stop taking them in the middle of a bottle. If you skipped a few days taking them now will not help you. You needed to take them continuously for the time written. Call your doctor and tell him they made you feel ill and ask for another kind.
Most of the antibiotics out there have side effects. If you go to Walgreens, RiteAid, Walmart and CVS to fill your prescription they give you a pamplet that is stapled to you bag that tells you how to take it. What not to take with them. What the common side effects are and the rare ones too.
If you are unsure you can always go home first and research the script before you fill it. I do that alot. I am what you call a bit paronoid of pills.
