:bouncing:Hello I was wondering if anybody here has had any kind of side effects from taking the antibiotic Cipro,I have had alot of muscular problems mostly noticed over the last year or so and the only medication that I have taken that is new to me was the Cipro... It is interesting that you have brought this up and yes, I have been on Cipro several times for a stubborn urinary tract infection. My life has never been the same and I have pains in my legs, muscles, joints, etc which I did'nt have prior to taking it. There is currently a class action lawsuit going on against the makers of Cipro and several support sites on the internet where "survivors" go to talk about their experiences. I'd post the URL here but that is not allowed. Anyway, yes, it is horrible stuff and the side affects can linger on for several months or a lifetime. When was your last dose of Cipro (how many days/months/years ago)?

- Regards

The last time I have taken Cipro was about 6 months ago. that was administered to me via IV. at the local hospital and upon discharge from the hospital i was on a script for it lasting 10 days....I have heard about the Lawsuit being filed by the Postal Employees but I have not heard about it being filed to protect the common users. I have been taking mine for constant Kidney Infections, and my DR. has switched me to Leviquin now I guess I have became immune to Cipro because it dont work for me anymore, besides the fact of causing me constant cramping in the legs and stuff it feels as though at nights my legs go into spasms and my elbows and knees are tender also is that the case with you...

That is really scary, I had never heard anything about this. I took cipro for a couple days following a surgery, but I had to stop because it made me itchy all over. No rash, just itchy. I think they give it to me in my IV too.

I guess I have always had some muscle/joint aches, so I never made the connection with that. But wow, I had never heard of this before!

 I have been reading up on the use of Cipro and the side effects it causes and also the reports of joint/muscle from the people treated with it and It is weird how so many suffer while taking this antibiotic, I know there are sites to educate people on the Class action Law suit filed against the makers but I have yet to find it....
