[QUOTE=Chantel2003;2773412]to feel a whole lot better when you are put on antibiotics? Last year, all of my severe symptoms started. I was put in the hospital for a bad bladder infection and was put on two types of antibiotics through IV. I felt a whole lot better by the third day. Most of my symptoms seemed to dissapear. Is that normal or does it take longer for someone to see results?
Also, it seems like I am good for a few weeks after getting off of antibiotics then all of my symptoms start up again and come back worse. Has anyone ever experienced this?

I found that once I was put on effective treatment (at first it was 400mg Doxycycline until I had a drug reaction to it, and currently Cefzil 500mg) that after about a month my energy level just soared and I felt alot better. My Lyme doc says that it is because we've killed some spirochetes and the rest have gone into hiding in my tissues (where we need to use the Tindamax to get at them there). I still have some activity, and some inflammation, but it's like going from feeling 60% of normal to over 90%.
Having periods of feeling worse is quite normal, even if you don't have a classic Herxheimer reaction - which I generally dont. If you log all your symptoms, you may notice a roughly 4-week cycle to your increased symptoms; I sure do about the 3rd week of the month.
