Ticker, thanks so much for the reply. I know I've tested positive for the past two years for mycoplasma. Not sure about the others...honestly, it's all a bit overwhelming. I have my first appointment tomorrow since the lyme diagnosis came in last week, so I will be sure I will ask about these specific co-infections. My doctor is a rheumatologist, and, I believe, very well respected, though considered to be somewhat 'controversial' by some of her contemporaries for her treatment theories. I came to her after two years undiagnosed (and basically treated poorly) in an HMO (which, fortunately for me, folded). She has always suspected lyme, but I always tested negative (including after an expensive 5-week urine test). It wasn't until I changed health insurance again this year that she was able to do a test at MDL that came out positive. Regardless, she's treated me for reactive arthritis for the past 18 months with various antibiotics (Pen VK, Augmentin, Cefzil, Cipro) for the infections that have shown up before. I've herxed pretty badly the whole time, but started herxing like mad when she switched me to Doxy a few months ago. So while I don't know that she's specifically an "LLMD" she is very thorough, and has pursued the lyme angle zealously. I'm really ready to move to whatever the next level is...four years of this has been enough! I can't believe how many stories I'm reading of people who have suffered so much longer :(
