I recently had an allergic reaction to a drug (ceftin) and also had a similar rash. Small raised bumps..kindof like very little pimples, but not. It looked a little like hives only smaller. Anyway, it does sound similar to what I had, so it really may be allergy. It might help you to get tested for allergies...this might help you identify the cause of the rash. With Low dose Allergy treatments (the shots you mentioned), my allergist is really understanding about my concerns and is letting me decide when and how I want to do these treatments if at all. You should talk to the doctor about your concerns and find out more about possible treatments.
