Thank you for all the replys....I will be sure to have some protein with each meal - even the mini meals. I am going to get a home glucose test to check my levels. I will get the home test and probalby never have another attack! They are so scary - especially when no one is around...How do you all deal with it?
I had a PICC line for the treatment of Lyme Disease. After the PICC line got infected (of course they pulled it out!) I had to go on antibiotics for the infection that was in my bloodstream and effecting my galbladder. It was after I began the Sulfamethoxazole that I began having these post meal reactions. I have been off the Sulf. for 2 weeks now. Prior to that I was on Ceftin, Zythro. and IV Doxy. With all that it is no wonder my body is a bit shaky. Does anyone know if these meds can cause changes in the bodies ability to regulate blood sugar?
Thanks for all the help!
