has IV antibiotics or rocephin injections been mentioned?
I once had this NASTY throat infection(ran a 105 fever, couldn't swallow even water, severe severe pain) & NOTHING was working, I was on high doses of strong antibiotics- the kind where you can't eat for 2-3 hours before OR after you take em twice a day it's so irritating. Well long story short, my doctor gave me a rocephin injection(strong antibiotic, same family as Ceftin, only stronger) & at first I felt worse- I passed out cold right after the injection(it's really painful, many people can't take it) & for a while felt sicker but after about 2 days I finally saw improvement- something that hadn't been seen thew hole t ime. And i'm talking one NASTY infection, by the time I had gotten the shot it was already at the roof of my mouth- so it did a great job of halting it.
And I hear IV antibiotics are muchs tronger & you can use them at home.
Some things to talk to your ENT about.

Yeah, well I am no longer going to be seeing my ENT. After today I'm convinced he is just not knowledgeable enough to treat me. I feel like when I'm talking to him about how I feel he just takes it so lightly and not serious enough. He says once he takes a look at my scan he may want see if I need to have surgery again. I'm like WTH??? Honestly, he has never talked to me about IV antibiotics or any other kind of treatment to get this swelling down in my sinus's that have been like this now for 9 months. He just thinks I should give it time, and continue w/the antibiotics I am now which is the Ceftin. I take that for another 2 weeks. He also talked to me about how a 3rd of my sinus health is eating right and staying fit/in shape. Well, ok so I am not in the best shape and I realize it always helps to be eating good and be in shape, but when this started I was working out/walking 2 miles 4x a week. So, obviously that arguement does not sit well w/me. Oh, he also talked about how because I have 2 small children that it may be a reason as to why I'm not getting better. He said there germs and colds they get may keep me unhealthy. Again, WTH?? My kids are rarely sick, and their noses hardly ever run cause I make sure they take their allergy meds round the clock. Oh, and he also said I need to be getting a good night sleep. Ok, again I do my best to get a good night sleep, some nights not so good, other's just fine, but for the most part I don't find myself drained from lack of sleep. Nothing was a way to help me reduce the swelling in my sinus's passages. The swelling in my Maxillary's and ethmoid sinus's passages are so swollen , and he can't come up w/any idea on how to get it better asap. Why? I have no idea. So, I plan to call another ENT, just not sure who yet. Going to make some calls and find someone. Can y'all tell I'm just a bit mad right now? LOL I hope I stay mad so I can be mad enough to make sure I don't give up on getting this swelling down in my sinus's.
