Being an SVT sufferer for 19 years, 250mg of Magnesium and getting sun on a weekly basis has helped me. I am also on Atenolol daily and also Cartia.
Magnesium does give some people stomach problems, but only one a day hasn't had any negative effects on me. Getting some moderate sun exposure raises your Vitamin D levels which has shown up in the news lately for helping with irregular heart beats which is what SVTs are.
Also, make sure you get plenty of sleep and exercise. Both help with stress which can also contribute to SVTs. Try to stay away from caffeine, sugary stuff and any decongestants. They can raise your heart rate also.
Do take a good hour every day for yourself that eliminates stress. I saw that you have kids, but you still have to take care of yourself so you are there when you kids need you.
SVTs are horrible when they happen and I have had my share of episodes. I don't have MVP, but I have a friend who does and we both seem to have survived them for many years. You can too, but the key is to try and stay calm and take care of your body and sanity.
