After experiencing light-headed spells, dizziness, fatigue, pressure in my chest here and there (not pain - just like an elephant is sitting on me),and a few anxiety attacks over the past few months my doctors requested a stress test. Apparently there were some abnormalities on the stress test that lead them to believe the arteries in my heart are having spasms. I am 28 and in good health, so they don't think there is a blockage, but I am being sent to a cardioligist for a nuclear stress test. In the mean time, my family doctor has put me on 120mg of Cardizem once a day to control the spams.
Is there anyone else with experience with artery spasms? How serious is this?
Also, anyone with experience with Cardizem? I am really anti-medication, but the doctor said this is a very mild drug with few side effects.
Thanks!
