   dumping syndrome (Bowel Disorders board)

25th February 2003
Those episodes were rare, only 3-4 in my life, but so severe,... it just seemed logical to me to assume it was my heart all this time.

I was also treated for panic attacks, put on beta blockers (which drove me absolutely crazy) and cardizem.

A long time ago I had an upper and lower GI and echo (I'm scheduling an upper GI upcoming and another echo.

I never thought these were connected.

Currently, I have "mulk dud" poops, they look like hard stones. One BM per day each morning.

And a lot, lot of gas and distention.

I have not seen any specialists, just my primary because I didn't know where to go. My physicals turn up normal, nothing on palpation, I get yearly pap and rectals and pelvic, and they're always normal, I have my abdomen palpated.

I thought it was vagus nerve related as well because of problems I have swallowing, and the pain I have runs down the mid/left section of my body through my throat.

My arms go numb a LOT and I need to shake them out, not even sure if that's related too.

I also have a lot of spinal issues so didn't know if it was related. With my dad's history of heart/stomach problems it scared me a bit.

I never connected all of these together until I came to this board. I"ve never seen one board so incredibly thorough, covering so many issues.

I've posted all over trying to find out "where" is the right place.

I haven't sought out any specialists on my own, didn't know how or if I needed to since my doc didn't seem to imply I did.

I am so sorry for everyone's pain and yet a part of me feels so relieved to find other people who know what I'm talking about, and I don't feel like I'm over reacting now, I feel like this is very real.

I'm a little concerned, I admit, to go to my doctors, because I feel like I have this huge list of symptoms and that alone (and I'm female) will have an impact... my list could fill a whole page. (I'm also being treated for other issues, so to try and reitterate this and add to my already existing list, feels so overwhelming).
