Before you try it, give this system a try (call it the jono 3 step system!)

1. Wash your face with Cetaphil (Riteaid make a generic, exactly the same, but very much cheaper)

At night, after washing, apply 5% Benzoyl peroxide (Oyx5 or generic)

In the morning after washing, apply Nutrogena Rapid Acne Defence Lotion, with 2% salicylic acid

for a week or so, your skin will break out worse, then get rapidly better

Hi. I've got 2 great brands of products you should try. They have so far been working for me and I have oily acne prone skin, that is also sensitive: 1. Acne Free. You can get it at any retail store for about $20 a kit. It includes the 3 step solution- 2.25% benzoyl peroxide face wash, the renewing toner which has witch hazel in its ingredients ( a great ingredient), and repairing lotion w/ time-released BP in it so it stays on your skin all day long. The lotion contains 3.7% BP. That stuff is just a generic version of Proactiv w/ more effective results.
2. PURPOSE by johnson & johnson. Try the Gentle Cleansing Wash. It's oil free, hypoallergenic, and it won't clog your pores. It also isn't harsh on your skin like regular soap is. Doesn't dry you up. Also, along with the Gentle Wash, try their Dual Treatment Moisture Lotion w/ SPF 15. Fragrance free, oil free, hypoallergenic, and won't clog pores either. Also, if your skin is really sensitive, check out their products that are for redness reduction.

Thank you for your response. Although I've heard great things about Purpose, I'm going to have to disagree with flying colors about the Acne Free system. It's THE WORST drugstore product I've ever used, and using it this summer is the reason I have so many left over red marks at the moment. Completely destroyed my skin. The next time I need a good gentle face wash, I will definitely check out the Purpose though.
