I would worry about getting hooked on Ativan.

Prescription Drug AtivanŽ (lorazepam)
Lorazepam, generic name for the popular anti-anxiety medication AtivanŽ. AtivanŽ is indicated for generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic disorder, and anxiety associated with depression. AtivanŽ (lorazepam) is sometimes used as a sleeping agent, anti-convulsant, and alcohol detoxification. Caution should be used, as AtivanŽ has been shown to cause physical and psychological dependence. AtivanŽ (lorazepam) has also been shown to cause blood disorders. AtivanŽ (lorazepam) can cause decreased appetite (weight loss) in some people and increased appetite (weight gain) in others.
AtivanŽ (lorazepam) is classified pharmacologically as a benzodiazepine. The use of benzodiazepines and related drugs may be associated with side effects such as, drowsiness that can occur in up to 75% of the people taking benzodiazepines. Discontinued use, especially when abrupt, may result in spontaneous side effects including tremor, abdominal cramping, sweating, insomnia, and convulsions. Side effects may also include fatigue, memory impairment, nausea, vomiting, constipation, blurred vision, sexual dysfunction, and decreased sexual drive.
