I had this same problem when I was using Benzamycin in the dorms. I didn't have a mini fridge, so I kept my jar by the window at night and in a cool, dark place during the day (like the back of a drawer). I don't know if it effects some of the chemicals, but the medicine kept working for me even without the fridge.

Why do you keep food in the fridge? Because if it isn't kept at a certain temp, it will spoil...same thing applies here.
