I've been taking Yasmin for about 9 months.
It has controlled my acne a bit, it took about 5-6 months for it to really kick in, but I still break out with my Monthlies and then take a week to clear up completely (usually with the help of Benzac AC 5%) and then it happens all over again.
I also still got an oily sheen on my face every so often, more lately than usual which I wasn't happy about.
So, Yasmin has been OK for me, but not as great as I expected.
I'm now going to stop taking it for now and give my body a rest, and perhaps try something else in the next couple of months.
In the meantime I'm going to stock up on the Benzac AC as my face will probably go beserk when it realises I'm not on the Yasmin anymore.
PS: Be careful with skipping your periods on birth control, I did that on and off every few months innocently and gained a whole heap of weight. Of course, different medications cause different side effects for every person but just letting you know my experiences.
