I won't tell you what to do but I have tapered and I have gone CT. I was successful at both CT the first time around and taper the 2nd time around. I won't even make a recommendation. Like I've told many, to taper you have to practice great discipline and control as you taper done to 0. Most folks can't resist taking an extra pill or coming up with an excuse to not drop down to the next level when necessary. Coming off 60-100mg per day for 1 month should not be to difficult, clearly not as challenging as 100mg per day for 6 months or a yr. You should be able to use a time based taper without to much difficulty and discomfort from withdrawal. You can find a number of posts here that give you the plans for taper. Anytime you taper you will feel some level of discomfort but this can be controlled by plan and whether it's an aggressive based plan or more controlled (slow) It's certainly no where even close to the discomfort you experience when you go CT. If you choose to go the CT route I would plan ahead and ensure you have a number of meds available to you to help with the withdrawal symptoms. Again a simple search here should net you the drugs used to help. (a benzo (valium) if possible, Imodium, clonodine, phenergan, bentyl, benedryl or ambient. If you do go CT the worst will be over in 3-5 days and give yourself a total of 2 weeks at least before you feel semi normal again. I’m basing this thought on you only using 60-100mg for a month. If you were taking that amount for longer then the time to get normalcy back will probably take longer then a couple of weeks. Just my two cents, there are others here far more knowledgeable then I so you should get more help, comments and support. Good luck, life is about to get a whole bunch better for you and we here are glad to help you out.
