I have one every year to watch an adrenal cyst. same experience. fast for 3 hours, drink a bottle of stuff and hour before, hook up an IV of dye that feels kind of warm while it's going in. test takes less than a half hour. the worst of it for me is the fact that i have a shellfish allergy and need to take steroids the day before, a benadryl right before and being a bad stick it takes time to get the IV in.also I am over 50 so need blood done first to check the creatinine level.So my prep is alot worse than the test itself.
