Don't know if this is Allergies or Cold?? (General Health board)

18th March 2006
Hi all,

Well this morning I woke up with the itchy throat and it was here all day. I had wanted to take a pill but didn't. I had alot of drainage from my sinuses dripping and my stomach was feeling so nauseated, and to top it all of my mother in law and I had ice cream and that made it worse becasue it was so heavy, so I felt like crap.

My husband and I came home and I slept for a little over an hour and I am feeling somewhat better. We had went to the store earlier and my husband got me a vicks inhaler, after using that I am feeling better. My nose is dripping so I don't know if that is good or not.

I will definitely take a benadryl tonight I don't understand why these allergies are getting to me, it is almost worse than a cold to me.

Well enough complaining here, thanks for listening to me and my problems.

:p

sounds like definite allergies to me!!!!! yes...it IS worse than having a cold...because you know that your cold will eventually get better and go away....but allergies....UGH!!! always troublesome!!!! i guess you do know that alot of sinus drainage will cause nausea??? it sure will. and it can also cause you to cough until you gag. i hope the benadryl works for you......it didnt phase my daughter...but she is a 'special' case...LOL....nothing worked for her! every rx allergy meds were tried...and the allergist even doubled up on them....still didnt phase her....so we finally gave up and quit giving her the meds...as all we were doing was making the pharmacies and drug companies richer...buy the allergy meds...then having to buy antibiotics for sinus infections!!!!!!! but...it looks like she has FINALLY (????) outgrown most of her allergies....they dont seem to be near as bothersome as it once was.
