I am 16 and within the past month my hands/fingers have been getting really swollen at random times. They get red and they hurt really bad. It gets so bad sometimes that I have to take my rings off my fingers even the one that is really big on me normally. The only conditions that I have, but I don't even know if they would be related, would be anemia and a very slight problem with one of my valves in my heart. I am supposed to be going to the doctor in a couple weeks, but was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what it could be and what I could do. I take Benadryl when it happens, but it doesn't seem to be helping any.
