Received a chemical peel today (Acne board)

25th November 2004
Day 2:

Still no real noticeable changes in my skin, other than my skin slightly peeling around my mouth. I've experienced some tightness, itchiness, and slight throbbing, but each occuring at random times throughout the day. I've been taking benadryl to kind of counteract that. Other than that it's still too early to see any real difference in my skin. It suck's because I have school on Monday and hoping that I'd be done peeling by then.
26th November 2004
3rd day:

My face is really starting to itch today, but thanks to benadryl it has suppressed it somewhat. My skin is now starting to peel but it isn't easily seen because I'm constantly putting vaseline on and it really helps with the dryness and tingling. I've read that when one gets a chemical peel done that the skin starts to darken similar to a sunburn, but since I'm naturally tan, it's hard for me to notice any difference in my skin color. I have to get up at least once a night after I go to bed to re-apply vaseline which I find odd because vaseline is used to remedy severe dryness and my face is like dry in some areas after 5-6 hours. The healing process isn't painful by any means but damn does it itch. It's too early to speak but from the first day that I got the peel done, my forehead has benefitted from it the most, looking smoother and healthier.
