Vestibular Migraine? Not too sure but check inside. (General Health board)

11th September 2004
It all started with a migraine headache last week on a Thursday. I've had migraines before so this didn't really bother me much. It just wasn't a big deal. The next day, I woke up, moved around, got on my computer, and then all of a sudden, I got the signs of a migraine. You know, the tunnel vision aura effect...then, I heard a ringing noise in my left ear. It kinda gave me a muffled effect. I got the effect of feeling like I was in high altitude trying to unclog my ears or something. Well, anyways, I was a tad bit light headed but nothing alarming for me. Then, Saturday, I relax, go to the beach...swim in the ocean. I was able to scrape just a lil' bit of sand from my ear. I took 5-htp on Monday for no real reason. Then, on Tuesday, I got up and was ok as usual. I walked around for a lil' bit but got insanely lightheaded. I almost felt like I was going to faint. I kind of felt that muffled feeling on my left side of my face proceded by a lil' activity of pain in my head. For much of the day I felt like my head was heavy and lightheaded. Wednesday came and same situation. I was feeling alright but I kept getting random acts of lightheadedness and again, I got reallly scared. I didn't feel like this the whole day but sometimes it'll roll hard and I'll get dizzy. So, I go to the docs and he tells me that I may have fluid in my ear. He prescribes me with Meclizine and tells me that everything should be fine. He also said that I can take Benadryl and that should help me out. I dunno, I just don't feel too peachy at all. Anyone know of what I might have? I'm 26, I feel good for the most part. I have been stressed out lately but I wouldn't want to have the same feeling day in and day out. Again, for the most part, I'm good...I do notice that after I eat, I start to feel a lil' funny and then back to normal again. I don't get motion sickness when I'm out and about or while I'm in the car. I'm just perfectly normal. I just need some help or tips.
