I didn't really have much pain, just discomfort, kind of a sickening feeling. I was taking Benadryl every eight hours, though, which I think helped with any pain I might have had, and it kept me sleepy. I stayed in bed for almost a week. I would go ahead and fill the prescription for pain medicine just in case (I did).
