For the urticaria? Antihistamines help (as in benadryl), or, stay out of the offending agent. The cold water that bothered me, was swimming in fresh water lakes. Sometimes cold rain would do that to me, if I was walking in the rain with my skin exposed. Why does it happen? Who knows, maybe an immune response of sorts.
