thanks - i actually blew my nose just to check and there were signs of greenish mucus but not much. Im getting stuffy headaches every day. Ive tried clarityn and doesnt seem to have done much. I may go back to the beconase and try again. As for the wizziness, i think its more of a stuffy feeling in my head, then it congests. Thanks.

i crinse my sinuses out twice a day with neti-salts. Then i use hot water and euchalyptus a few hours later (steaming method) and its beconase twice a day. i have still got the stuffiness/groginess it seems to be just above my eyes and in my ears. The discharge is now always clear, so i dont know whether its an infection or general hayfever- i did have a cold 2 weeks ago which the bacteria may have got trapped? Its just this groginess is driving me mad!

If the discharge is clear it's very unlikely that you have an infection. If Claritin didn't help much you might try cetirizine (called Zyrtec in the U.S., not sure of the brand name in the U.K.) as an antihistamine - it seems to be stronger than Claritin - you might also try adding 12 hour sudafed (a decongestant) for the stuffiness. The Beconase will take several days to have an effect so keep it up.
