HI,
Welcome! I also read for a long time before posting...like 2 years!
Our daughter Katie is almost 16 and has Complex Partial seizures. She takes Keppra and Lamictal. She was on Claritin for seasonal allergies and it just stopped working. She was on Allegra last year and it worked well, however it was just too expensive on our insurance, so she switched to Zyrtec. Zyrtec is working just as well and she hasn't experienced any odd side affects. I won't let her use Sudafed or really anything that has a decongestant in it, unless it is absolutely necessary. Katie also used Nasacort, Rhinocort, Flonase and another one that started with a "B", can't think of it. It's been awhile since she used the nasal puffs. Ah, Beconase! Just popped in!
Have you thought of trying allergy shots? They are easy enough to deal with, just need to be dedicated to doing it every week, when you start. Katie and I did it for 5 years and we are doing really well. I was 32 when I started them. The only trouble Katie has is now (trees budding) and in August (ragweed), and it's been managable.
