My son has asthma and I'm quite sure one of his main triggers is our 6 month old kitten. Were you tested to find out if your allergy were cats and how do they test that? And how often do you get the allergy shots? The cat is not allowed in my son's room and I try my best to keep the cat on the main floor of our home and aside from eating my son spends most of his time outside or on the second level of our home. He went to the ER last night and we are thinking it must be triggered by the cat. I'd hate to have to get rid of the cat (my son too) but it's hard to see him have all these breathing difficulties. Would antihistamine tablets help with asthma symptoms? And how often would you have to take those? My son gets alot of wheezing, some coughing and a shortness of breath. He seems to have some days worse then others. He does have 2 inhalers, the beclovent, a preventative and the ventolin. Any suggestions would really be appreciated.
