I just found out. I got it last sunday (was a little red dot) and have been on ciprofloxacin hcl since thursday. The area is like a small hole (a bb size) right now and hade some puss in it but the doctor got most if not all out. The redness around it is about the size of my thumb. Now my doctor says it is healing right now from the inside and everything. I just read what mrsa is and it has totally freaked me out. I am a 24 year old male, 6'4 190lbs. I am in good shape, I do not have any major diseases and i have never had any problems besides this. After reading about mrsa I am totally scared. I have hibiclens to shower with, some bactroban cream for my nose and some stuff I have to shoot into the hole with a syringe. I guess why I wrote this is if someone could maybe chill me out? I am extremely worried now after reading about it.
