Hi Becky, The doctors thought mine was a cyst the first time and lanced it. Yes it came back, the only time it doesn't return is if they excise the entire area and graft over it. Most doctors have never heard of it. I hate changing docs and having to explain what HS is. Basically I look like I had a fight with a shark and he won. Had both arm pits excised, buttock and groin surgerys..... Have to take Percocet everyday and my doctor gives me allot of antibiotics I start on my own when I need to so I don't have to go see him every time. Have you tried
"Bactroban Ointment"? it seems to keep the swelling under control if I don't have a real bad flare-up. I think you need a perscription for it.
