[FONT="Garamond"][COLOR="DarkOrange"][/FONT] I'm not exactly "new" to this board but definitely new to posting for the most part. I have suffered from acne since I was in 7th grade, and I am now 19 and a sophomore in college. I feel like I have tried everything and more...Proactiv, Natures Cure, Myocycline, Retin-A, Differin, everything over the counter, plus home-remedies...and I was getting pretty fed up with dealing with it. For the past 6 months or so I have just been washing my face with Clean and Clear in the shower and wearing the mint-julep mask, and that seemed to be doing the most good. Recently, I had been breaking out a lot more (maybe from stress or my eating habits since school has started up) and finally decided to go to the dermatologist one last time. I went to a new doctor, and she immediately said "we can have this under control." and handed me a prescription for Duac and Bactrim.
My skin already looks better and it has only been 1 week. The pimples I did have gotten smaller and some have cleared completely. I wasn't aware of the harsh side-effects of Bactrim until I researched it on here, but all I have experienced is a pretty bad headache, so I took my dosage down to 1 pill and I take it at night. I am also still using Clean and Clear and the mask...I thought I would share my success (so far!) story with everyone, now that I may finally have one!
