Hi all,
had FESS sinus surgery and septoplasty two days ago. Feeling pretty OK. Minimal pain except for coming out of anethesia, and got some morphine for that-- good stuff. Only took one dose of Tylenol 3, and very little regular Tylenol. Had the packing out yesterday-- that did hurt, but only for a few seconds. Stopped draining enough to stop wearing the mustrache dressing, only have to dab a little now and then-- doing meticulous spraying to moisturize, peroxide swabbing, and Bacitracin around the nostrils. Nose feels pretty OK except Gawd, I wish I could blow it and I feel stuff sliding down the back of my throat. Going back to the doc next week for more cleanup.
I saw the video high lights of my procedure yesterday-- wild stuff. Opened up a lot of space on one side, took the left middle turbinate off, fixed the septum and filed down a bone spur, should really solve the problems.
Just taking an antibiotic (cefadroxil) now, also taking arnica (homeopathic) and bromelain, vit C & Bcomplex. Drinking lots. More info as things progress! :wave:
