Im new to the world of asthma, and meds... and everything basicly! I know nothing about my asthma (couldnt even spell it at the doc office lol) anyways....
I have always coughed when I ran. All my pediatritions said take a drink of water and suck it up (I was kind of a chunky kid) and so did my teachers. Recently, about the end of october, begining of november, I had a cough I couldnt shake, So i thought it was brochitis again (ive had it a few times, well, actually, almost every winter, they told me to take robatussin and get over it, except one doc who put me on albuterol for about 2 weeks)
So I went to my new Doc with work, and he said it was asthma, and I should have been on an inhaler for a while now. So he proscribed Clarinex for 1 month, Azmacort and albuterol. I also have psists on my overies, so he proscribed 800 mg ibuprofin for that....
But now its january, and Im ALWAYS sick! Last night I posted on the general board because my tongue was randomly hurting, and someone mentioned that the azmacort could cause yeast infections in the mouth. So I went and gargled listerine for about 10 minutes, and this morning my tongue does feel better (better then the last 3-4 days). No one mentioned I was supposed to wash my mouth out after taking the Azmacort....
I got a flu virus at work just the week before last and was sick for 7 days strait! of course everyone said I was faking.... but I know i felt horrid.. And before that I had a cold, and before that I had a REALLY bad reaction to what I think was the iburprofin, and everything together.... so I stopped taking EVERYTHING.. which led to the cold...
My friends are all tired of me.. my managers are concerned about my "work performence" because I have had to go hom early more in the last 3 months then in the whole 2 years before.... Sorry this is long, I just cant understand why I feel like hell! (excuse my languge)
oh, and my Doc says Im fine, just take my drugs.... I guess thats what I get for having an overworked HMO Doc...
