I am 32 and have had asthma all my life...been on every drug imaginable...been hospitilized and on a vent even...scary huh? anyways..i forever have been using albuterol every single day and serevent two times a day..and of course azmacort 2 times a day...well i went to a new dr (was going to a pulmonologist and now going to a family practice guy) and he said that it was totally unacceptable for me to be using that much albuterol..and since my peek flows were around 200 he was scared i was going to have an attack and die...wow did that kinda freak me out...anyways..he gave me advair (100/50) and sigulair...well the advair brought my peek flows to about 250 so he gave me the 200/50 and that worked great..and the singulair is awesome....i have not had to use my albuteral inhaler in a very long time...my pharmacist called to see if i was okay since i hadn't been there for a refill...lol

I had a problem with advair...the thrush had gotten bad and my mouth was swelling from it. I did rinse out my mouth after using advair , but it didnt help so my doctor switched me to azmacort...I also take albuterol ( have for quite a while)...
My asthma is triggered by stress, and exertion.
