   Lychen Planus (Skin Problems board)

25th September 2006
You're welcome. By the way, as Colchicine affects the immune system, I take antibiotics (Amoxil) before any dental treatments that could introduce bacteria. I just get my dentist to prescribe them - he gives me several refills so I have them on hand. I usually just take 2000 mg (4 pills) one hour before treatment. If it is more serious, such as a root canal, I'll also take them for a few days after, just to be safe. Another medication I tried was Azathioprine, but I had a reaction to it. Good luck.
