I have a pretty high tolerance for pain too--I have my whole back tattooed, and living with headaches my whole life has forced me to be tolerant. But these newer pains are terrible, and I don't think any medication will help.

When my husband gave me my Avonex injection Friday, it felt good. My muscles and joints hurt so bad that day. Maybe it was a distraction, I don't know. It kind of felt like a really deep muscle massage. I told him I wish I could stick needles all over my body. He's a tattoo artist, and offered to stick sterile needles in me. Gross! I told him I was thinking about acupuncture, not just needles random all over my body. I declined his offer, but told him to pencil me in for an appointment to get a new tattoo.
