   New tonight (Multiple Sclerosis board)

:DI'm 36 going on 37 too. Hum...something in the 1971 water? I was dx Aug 06'. I live in fear, not from the MS, I just seem to worry about everything! My fear stems from losing my father to Lung cancer at 15. That event has made me a hypochondriac. Full of fear from that day forward. I had to learn how to conquer anxiety. For the most part I have.:D.

I believe that epstein-barr virus (MONO) and first pregnancy triggered my MS. My first real relapse came after my third pregancy.
That lead to my dx in Aug 06. So far so good. I have everyday ms symptom tingling legs, muscle spasms, fatigue, migraine headaches, mood swings (for the worse).
Started Avonex Dec 06. After 1 year of treatment, it seems to be holding this crazy disease relatively stable.

My main focus it to live each day the fullest. Every minute of the day I'm thankful for what I accompli:cool:shing. I'm positive. I think my mental attittude will serve me well.

Yep those darn virus's!!! MS was caused by westnile virus I got almost three years ago. I had all the same symptoms you had but the doctors just kept telling me it was the westnile. So one morning I woke up and I had just lost all the use of the left side of my body. Guess what, the doctors found the MS and told me it was a result from the westnile. Anyway I am doing infusion with Rituxan and IVIG treatments. I am learning to walk again slowly. I know it is working because I am walkling some, but I have extreme heaviness still on the left side. My doctor says it may take a year to see what is going to come back. I have never heard of Avonex. Is it a shot? How are you doing with your family? How did they handle this big change? Hope your day is great!! Talk to you soon!! Thank you again for sharing!!!!!
