I am currently taking Aviane...the generic brand of alesse...i have been taking it for about 5 months now, and am experiencing problems with it.
Either my period will start in the middle of my pack, and when it comes time for my 'real period' nothing but a tiny bit of spotting happens...other months, like this month, my period starts in the middle of my pack and just keeps going...i am supposed to start my new pack tomorrow, and even though i have had my period more than 2 weeks...its not going to stop...
I also am experiencing bad mood swings...i've never felt i was really affected emotionally when it came to PMS, but i CLEARLY have been since i started the pill...its so frustrating knowing i am getting so upset over something so stupid, but i have so much trouble controlling my emotions...
I also had really bad cramping, which is one of the main reasons i started the pill...and this has not stopped whatsoever...its possibly even worse at times...
On the plus side...i am sexually active, and definatly have not experienced any loss in sex drive....and have also noticed that my breasts have gotten bigger (which is good!)
My main question is...i cannot stand these long, unpredictable periods...or the mood swings...
does anyone have any recommendations? i am scared switching pills could lead to weight gain, loss of sex drive, even worse mood swings, etc...
what should i do??
