SweetJade I need you =) (Acne board)

15th June 2005
For the tests, I know that I will receive a numerical value of measurement I got for test for the test and a numerical value indicating what is considered normal. I will be able to see what imbalance I have.

As you said, for treating men, it is a bit tricky because the doctor doesn’t want to cut off their “maleness”.

Here is the most popular treatments you listed for WOMEN. I am assuming, since I am male, I can’t take the ones that affect my testosterone, or anything dealing with my manhood for that matter. Do you have a list for the most popular treatments among men? I am hoping that once I have these tests, I will be able to choose the appropriate treatment or method that target the problem correctly instead of blindly trying out products and being a test dummy without an idea if it is even the right treatment for my acne.

Birth Control (regular BC – balances hormones, lowers testosterone)
Yasmin BC (see above & has a progestin [synthetic progesterone known as Drospirenone]
Diane BC (see above & has Cyproterone to block effects of androgen)
Spironolactone (diuretic for high blood pressure, DHT conversion inhibitor, inhibits the effects of testosterone, anti-androgen)
Flutamide (anti androgen)
Prednisone (anti inflammatory, corticosteroid that improves cortisol balance)
Dexamethasone (anti inflammatory, corticosteroid that improves cortisol balance)
Metaformin (balances insulin levels)
Avandia (decreases insulin resistance)

Here is the most popular “natural” treatments among women are

NAC (n-acetyl-cysteine)
D-Chiro Inositol – (formed from Lecithin, or inositol)
NPC (natural progesterone cream)
Vitex (chaste berry herb, NPC is made from this)
ALA (alpha lipoic acid) / Chrominum GTF
Digestive Enzymes / Fiber / Probiotics
Low Carboyhydrate Dieting (insulin Resistance diet, atkins, blood type, anti-candida diets, etc).

Thank you for you help Sweetjade.

One more thing, does my acne have anything to do with the fact I am so skinny?
