I too have had a spike last night. I went to ER two months back and had high BP of 170/115. Doc sent me home after taking all tests showing I was fine. I had an abnormal ECG but he felt it was because of the high BP. I went to my doc and changed my meds from the one I've been taking for over 10 years also. I was on Atenolol and had an allergic reaction to it. Now I am taking Avalide 150 mg (samples) and have a doc appt. tomorrow. Last night, I wasn't feeling very well either so I took another 1/2 a pill that didn't help.
Today, I elected to stay home to rest and it is down to the same as you are 154/98 which is also good from what it was last night.
I hope you know you're not alone!!! I'm going tomorrow to see what else they can think causes this!
