I have chronic minor earache on the left side. What could cause this problem? I had a sinus infection a few months ago and took augmentin for that. Could the two things be related?

well, three years later -- uh yeah. My ear drum ruptured on Wed. night and it's cause all the sinus goo was stuck up in my head and never drained and I didn't call the doc when I blew out yellow phlegm - - instead I went to the E.R. in excruiating pain and now can't hear but i'm on augmentin to cure the infection but the ear drum will "heal itself" someday. Hopefully soon. :cool: hope you still don't have an ear problem -- if you do; go to ENT doc and get it knocked out (the infection that is)
