:nono: to doxy. = increased oil production and caused monstrous cysts. i've heard others on this board say the same. personally i think all antibiotics suck and cause resistance which makes your acne worse.
i have used tetracycline, erythromycin, clindamycin, and augmentin xr.
clindamycin and augmentin worked well (temporarily) and the other two didn't do a thing.
the tretinoin gel will make you flare up for a while and cause a lot of irritation at first so start slowly and apply very lightly (if it's too irritating ask about differin). it may take a while to see results. I've also used clinda (in liquid form, but same thing) and it was pretty good. never heard of zoderm. hope this helps.
